Belarus could get Russian loan by late summer

Russian Finance Ministry is set to file with the government the proposals associated with loan to Belarus by late July, Russian Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin said in a statement. At the same time, the Russian minister denounced reports that Belarus was allegedly seeking $2 billion, not $1.5 billion as originally annnounced. “We have not received any other proposals”, Kudrin said.

Russia has finilized reviewing the Belarusian economy and is set to do final tounches regarding a decision on the loan. Russian has not yet got certain on whether to give the whole sum at once or in several installments.

Kudrin thinks that all the procedures will have been finished by late summer or early fall. Apparently, that's when the Belarus government could get a long-awaited loan, reports Telegraf.
