Army officer arrested for bribe

A Belarus Army officer was detained in his office while receiving a bribe, reports Belapan. The Lt. Colonel was in charge of logistics for one of the military units located in the Minsk region. The military officer was arrested by police who had an arrest warrant from a prosecutor's office. Defense Ministry spokesman Vyachaslau Ramenchyk said in a statement that "the arrest of a defense agency official confirms that Belarus has a very reliable system of identifying crimes and deliverying justice regardless of the personalities or their former good deeds".
