US, German companies to construct a new aircraft overhaul plant in Belarus
Big U.S. and German companies are ready to participate in the design development and the construction of a new aircraft overhaul plant in Belarus, reports Belta. The project is worth over $170 million.
According to Belarus Transport Minister Uladzimir Sasnouski, the mentioned companies are "world leaders" and that "they can guarantee the international certification. This is a very important strategic aspect".
"It means that these companies will basically become Boeign and Airbus dealers in Belarus," the minister noted.
The business plan is under development and is expected to be ready by mid-October.
