Wildberries speeds up Belarus logistics hub after drone attacks in Russia

The logistics center of the Russian marketplace Wildberries is being completed at an accelerated pace at the Belarusian industrial park "Vialiki Kamen". The first sections of the complex are already operational.

This was revealed in an interview on Belarusian Television by the first deputy director general of the company for the development of the industrial park, Kiryl Karatseeu.

"We have already begun operating the first sections of the logistics center. Construction is proceeding not just on schedule — but ahead of schedule, because, unfortunately, the circumstances currently unfolding on the territory of the Russian Federation are forcing the investor to build faster, as quickly as possible, in order to put it fully into operation", he shared the details.

According to Karatseeu, specialists who participated in the commissioning of similar facilities have arrived from Russia. They are now working alongside Belarusian employees: staff recruitment and training is underway.

Ukrainian forces have in recent weeks been attacking Wildberries' logistics hubs in Russia. A number of large warehouses have been completely destroyed in fires following drone strikes. Another strike on a Wildberries warehouse was carried out on August 5 in the Tula region. As a result, the company is considering the possibility of relocating its warehouses to other countries — Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
