Ukraine military urge Yanukovich to stabilise situation
Soldiers and civilian staff at Ukraine's Ministry of Defense call on the president to stabilize the situation in the country, RIA Novosti reports.
They "are expressing their civil position” and urge the President to “take measures to stabilise the situation in the country according to the existing legislation without delay”, the authors of the appeal stressed.
The Ukrainian armed forces will not interfere in the conflict situation in the country, Ukrainian Minister of Defence Pavel Lebedev claimed earlier. However, information about the order to organize officer meetings in order to express support to Victor Yanukovich appeared later. Only the military staff serving at the Ministry of Defence have made their statement so far.
