UK supplies military equipment to Belarus?

A check-up conducted by a committee of the British Parliament has revealed it, inosmi.ru reports referring to The Independent. The British government gave out over 300 export licenses for military and intelligence equipment. The sum totals £12.3 billion.

The military equipment is being sent to the countries that can be found on the list of states violating human rights. Besides Belarus, there is also Iran, China, Sri-Lanka, Russia and Zimbabwe.

There are three contracts with Syria although Great Britain is also supplying military equipment to rebels fighting the Assad regime. There are 57 contracts with Argentina. It is not on the list of the Foreign Office, but Britain is still in the state of confrontation with it because of the Falkland Islands.
