Tianjin blast: Death toll goes up to 112 people

The number of Tianjin blast victims has increased to 112 people. 95 people are missing, 85 of them are firemen. Genetic expertise is needed to identify 88 victims.

722 people are in hospital, 58 of them are in a critical condition now, information agencies report.

Additional specialists in chemical protection have arrived to the city. There is a cyanide contamination threat in the area. Highly toxic cyanide was kept in Tianjin warehouses, head of Beijing military district confessed. There were several thousand tons of cyanide by estimate.

The first blast occurred on August 12. A huge fire started and resulted in a few more blasts. Several more explosions were registered in the area on August 15.
