Raman Mentsyuk: Colony administration exhausted me

Raman Mentsyuk has been amnestied and is a loader in Maladzechna now. He has given his first interview at liberty to tut.by.

"My trial was like a show, I spent almost half a year in the punishment cell in colony. They punished me for everything - for buttons, for taking a slice of bread out of the canteen," Mentsyuk said.

The fact that he was deprived of his driving license for five years starting from the moment of his release was "an unpleasant surprise" for him.

Raman Mentsyuk was imprisoned for 5 years for drunken driving. Driving inspectors made people form a live shield of their cars to stop him on March 2, 2008. Some people were injured. Mentsyuk and his wife spent two months hiding in Moscow. The police detained them in the zoo.

Raman Mentsyuk's wife was put on probation for two years (by the way, they are going to divorce now). Mentsyuk's sentence was prolonged for three months according to article 205 "Theft" in colony.

Mentsyk had violated the order and could not be amnestied, Vaukavysk colony informed Euroradio in June 2011.
