Every candidate will have 5 minutes on TV and radio to talk to electors. And there will be debates. Every candidate will get 5 minutes and the presenter will also have 5 minutes of air time. As a result, three candidates will be able to debate for 20 minutes.

The order of TV speeches will be defined during a sortition. It will be conducted on the day of registration in election committees.

I phoned the Belarusian State Broadcasting Company to find out more details about candidates' TV speeches. They promised to show everything in prime time.

“An hour of air time will be dedicated to the eletcion-2012 on "Belarus-2". The speeches will be broadcast from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The broadcasting will start on Monday, August 27".

However, they will be shown only on weekdays. We will not see any candidates at week-ends. But we should not worry about candidates looks. They have promised to make up candidates' faces to make them look the best they can. They will only have to wear their own clothes.

However, we should not expect the action of presidential candidates' speeches. Mikalai Lazavik has informed Euroradio that all the speeches and debates will be recorded. Just in case, to avoid problems.
