Belarus, Russia to resume talks on crude oil supplies in March

Belarus vice PM Uladzimir Siamashka is quoted by the state news agency BELTA as saying that negotiations are non-stop, but Belarus would like to focus on this topic in March.

Belarus plans to import 23 million tons of crude oil from the Russian Federation in 2013, including 5.75 million tons to be supplied via pipelines and by railway in the first quarter. Mr Siamashka Сямашка estimates that the volume of supplies would be on the same level in the next three quarters of the year. Russia said earlier it would limit the crude supplies to 18.5 million tons.

Mr Siamashka stressed that Belarus fulfills its obligations to supply processed oil and petrochemical products back to Russia.
