President's office: 94% ready to refuse from social benefits

The polling center at the office of the Belarus's president carried out a research in May 2007 to find out in rush the public attitude to the recently passed mew law on social benefits. The report said that 94% of the Belarusians described the current social security system as the "one not meeting the contemporary standards". The poll said that 75% of the respondents were indeed interested in the issue. Around 39% of the respondents said some citizens enjoyed their benefit on no grounds. They said people working with law-enforcement and those awarded with national and state prizes should be stripped of their priveleges, reports Telegraf.by.
