Militants shoot at Donetsk inhabitants looking for polling station

One of the inhabitants told the observer that he wanted to vote together with a friend. The polling station was in Donetsk school #114. A man was standing at the entrance when they came. They asked him where they could vote and he said: “We will settle everything in a moment.” A burst of submachine-gun fire followed. The men hardly managed to escape.

The Donetsk inhabitant did not know that no polling stations had opened in the city. No polling stations opened in Donetsk, Makeyevka, Gorlovka, Toreza, Yanakiyevo, Shahtyorsk and some other Donetsk Basin cities on October 26. The voting did not start in nine single-seat electoral districts of Donetsk Oblast and in six districts of Lugansk Oblast, UNIAN reports.
