The Belarusian Red Cross Society has been, is and will be actively involved in the removal of Ukrainian children, said the head of the organization, Dzmitry Shautsou, in an interview with Belarusian TV.

Shautsou said that he was "outraged to the core by the fact that people think or believe that it's logical to accuse the Republic of Belarus of kidnapping children who come to us to recuperate". According to him, the BRC in cooperation with the Aliksei Talai Foundation "does everything to make children forget the horrors of war and relax and feel that there is an island of happiness". This time, Shautsou appeared on Belarusian TV wearing a T-shirt and cap with the Red Cross logo. However, during a recent trip to occupied Mariupol, he wore clothes with the Z-symbol of the Russian occupiers. The International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent did not know about Dzmitry Shautsou's visit to the DNR, but they reminded that "it is extremely important that all components of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement maintain their independence from governments and weapon bearers".

The Belarusian democratic forces are currently collecting materials for the International Criminal Court (ICC), which prove the involvement of representatives of the regime of Alyaksandr Lukashenka in the illegal transfer of Ukrainian children.
