Mahilou BSDP activist’s flat searched

У Магілёве ў актывіста БСДП Максіма Кавалёва прайшоў ператрус

Two policemen came to activist of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) Maksim Kavalyou at 5 p.m. on May 4. Maksim’s friend Dzyanis Sidzin was the only person present in the flat at that time.

The search took 1.5 hours. The policemen did not find anything suspicious and left, Dzyanis Sidzin told Euroradio:

"There were two searches. The first one was two weeks ago. They came without documents and took away my notebook. They promised to give it back in two months but they haven’t done it yet. They brought documents to the second search but did not take anything away.”

Dzynis Sidzin was summoned to the police after the first search but he was not asked to sign any documents. Maksim Kavalyou used to be a member of the Central Committee of the BSDP (Hramada) by March. The searches were connected with their political activities, Kavalyou and Sidzin believe.
