Lukashenka: Belarus to be tested at presidential polls in 2015
The next presidential election campaign will be tough, Belarus president reckons.
"We will also have to pass an examination soon. The situation in Ukraine will be settled and we will be tested,” Aliaksandr Lukashenka told a meeting of Belarus' leading scientists on Monday.
"We must withstand,” interfax.by quotes the Belarusian leader as saying.
The turnout at the presidential election will be as good as at the recent local elections, Lukashenka believes. According to the Central Election Commission, the turnout was almost 80%.
The presidential election will be held not later than November 20, 2015.
