Journalist Alexander Zdvizhkov gets three years in jail for Mohammed caricature
Journalist Alexander Zdvizhkov, the former editor-in-chief of Zgoda newspaper, has been sentenced by a Minsk court to three years in a high-security prison, reports Nasha Niva. He was found guilty of "inciting religious hostility". Zdvizhkov has been punished for reprinting a Mohammed caricature from the Danish press in 2006.
The verdict can be appealed within 10 days. Zdvizhkov said he was not guilty.
