Estonia's foreign minister condemns Belarus opposition arrests

Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet has condemned the arrests of youth activists, including prominent youth leaders Pavel Seviarynets and Aliaksei Shein by the Belarusian authorities. Paet said that behavior of the Belarusian authorities clearly dsiplayed their fear of youth pressure groups and the opposition in general. He once again called on Belarus to stop repressions against the opposition forces.

The Estonian foreign minister stressed that only by freeing all the political prisoners, Belarus could get an opportunity to engage in a dialogue with the European Union.
