Homel City Hall officials faces embezzlement charges in new corruption probe
The Office of Homel Regional Prosecutor has started criminal proceedings against two officials at Homel City Hall following a probe by State Security Committee (KGB)
According to the information provided by KGB press-center, the Head of the Department for Construction at Homel City Executive Committee and a director of a commercial company are accused of having embezzled over Br 1 billion of public money through "illegal allocation of state property and improper use thereof".
Euroradio reminds that the head of Homel city executive committee Victar Pilipets was arrested last year during investigatio of the same utulities company.
