Belarusians bought about 50 thousand new cars in 2014

The market for new cars in Belarus last year amounted to about 50 million vehicles. This was announced by the board chairman of the Belarusian Automobile Association Syargey Mihnevich. According to him, out of the 50 thousands of these cars, Belarusian car dealers sold only half - about 25,400.

It is noted that such a significant amount of purchased cars appeared as a result of mass import of cars from Russia, which was recorded in December last year. As Euroradio reported earlier, in December 2014 only Belarusians brought from Russia as much as 48 thousands of passenger cars (new and used). A month earlier, in November - only 14 thousands. At the same time, from the rest of the world, in 2014, Belarusians  brought fewer cars than from Russia in December - only 40 thousand cars.

In 2014, more than 70 million vehicles (including new ones) were imported in our country, BelTA reports. And in 2013 Belarusians bought abroad, including in Russia, about 73 thousand cars.
