Belarusian and Russian athletes will not be able to participate in the 3rd European Games, which will be held from June 9 to 25 in Krakow, Poland, the European Olympic Committee (EOC) reports.

The EOC noted that already in November 2022, it was declared impossible for Belarusians and Russians to participate in the competitions in the current situation.

Recently, the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) called on sports federations to consider the admission of Belarusians and Russians to competitions in neutral status. In this case, the athletes must fulfill several additional conditions. For example, they must not actively support Russia's war against Ukraine.

Later, the Olympic Council of Asia invited Belarus and Russia to participate in the Asian Games. This tournament will be held in Hangzhou, China, from September 23 to October 8. However, participation is subject to the approval of the IOC.
