Belarusian officials not to be allowed to have accounts in foreign banks

The Law on Corruption Prevention presented to the public on Tuesday contains such norms. You can read it on the website of the newspaper SB. Belarus Today.

According to the bill, an official will not be allowed to have accounts in foreign banks unless it is needed for their state functions abroad and other cases indicated by the law. Officials will also be forbidden to do business personally or with the assistance of other people. Officials will not be allowed to fulfill orders and requests of their political parties and civil organizations.

Officials, their husbands and wives, close relatives and minor children will have to fill in tax statements every year.
