Belarus' exports of military-purpose products in 2016 is worth approximately $1 billion, State Military Industrial Committee Chairman Siarhei Huruliou told reporters. Our country has increased arms exports twofold over the past five years, the tut.by portal reports quoting the official as saying.

The increased was possible due to a steady market expansion. According to Huruliou, Belarus cooperates with 52 countries in the weapons industry. "We are well represented in CIS, South East Asia, South America, Europe and Africa. We have also reached out to Australia and Philippines. We have good relations with Indonesia, Malaysia," he stressed.

Huruliou added that Belarus tries to offer whole systems not just sells in parts - that is what makes it lucrative for clients.
