Belarus builders to overhaul housing in Moscow

Construction companies from Russia's regions and Belarus will be awarded contracts this year to overhaul housing in Moscow, Artur Keskinov, the head of Moscow's Department of Housing Overhaul, said in a statement. A total of nearly 250 companies, including 20 percent of non-Moscow firms, won tenders announced by the government of Moscow, he said.

534 houses will be overhauled in 2009. Works will be continued on 620 houses on the contracts awarded last year, reports the Ria Novosti news agency.
