BATE fan arrested for 5 days over support for Ukraine protests
A FC BATE Barysau fan is arrested for 5 days in jail for expressing support to protesters in Ukraine.
The police in Barysau started hunting for the people in the photo after it had appeared on the Internet, belultras.by reports. Policemen and KGB agents started to pose question the young men. One of the fans was jailed for 5 days. The agents identified him, yet one cannot see the faces in the picture.
The BATE fan did not return home after being summoned to the police station in the evening. He stood a trial behind the closed doors on January 30. The young man was returned guilty of "violating the regulation on the organization of mass actions, manifestations, demonstrations and pickets".
Police officers are making phone calls to the family members of young football supporters butare not summoning anyone to the police office, Barysau fans complain.
