Anatol Lyabedzka to represent Belarusian opposition at Nemtsov’s funeral

Russian oppositionist Boris Nemtsov will be buried in Moscow on March 3. Only Anatol Lyabedzka, the leader of the United Civil Party, is going to represent the Belarusian opposition there.

It is not clear whether any other Belarusian oppositionists are going to part with Boris Nemtsov, the politician told Euroradio:

Lyabedzka: "I cannot speak for representatives but I will. We have decided that the party leader will be enough… There will be other events tomorrow. I will go to Moscow and Leu Marholin will meet the deputy Minister of Italy. I am going to be alone there.”

Nemtsov was on good terms with the UCP.

The famous Russian opposition politician was murdered near the Kremlin on the evening of February 27.
