Alfer: Percent ofcitiznes taking part in early voting is suspicious
The great percent of people taking part in the early voting makes us suspect that somebody would like to manipulate the election results, said an independent suffrage expert Syarhei Alfer in an interview with BelaPAN.
He noted that the early voting practice existed in many European countries. Some countries allow postal voting including voting by e-mail and others, like Belarus, allow early voting.
Usually, when people come to election centers voluntary, 1 or 2% of electors vote early (maximum 5%). If the number of such electors exceeds a few percent, it looks suspicious.
According to the expert, preliminary voting is the most manipulated voting judging by the possibility to replace voting papers.
Let us remind you that according to the Central Election Commission, 7.2% of electors took part in the early voting at the presidential election in the first two days.
