In Brest, local residents objecting the construction of a lead car battery plant on Sunday gathered for yet another protest and staged a marching rally. It was the first time when they were able to walk the streets shouting "No to the plant!"

Nearly 300 people took part in the demonstration, reports Brestskaja Gazeta.

People initially gathered in Lenin Square for a traditional pigons feeding session. They later walked along the two central streets, including the pedestrial Sacieckaja Street, and stopped near the Central Department Store. The demonstrators clapped their hands and finished the protest.
