10 die in road accidents in Vitsebsk region

10 people died yesterday in two car accidents in the Vitsebsk region.  An Audi driver, on route from Russia's Smolensk region, failed to notice that road repairs were in progress on the Brest-Minsk-Border with Russia highway, drove to the opposite lane and crashed head-on with a Volkswagen van.

The vehicle worked on gas which inflated during the collision. Seven people died, with only two women having survived and admitted to emergency care at a nearby hospital.

Several hours after, another tragecy took place close the previous accident's location. A Mercedes-Benz was overtaking and collided headon with a truck.

Out of six people inside the vehicle, three died, with the rest being admitted to a hospital, reports ONT.
