Vіctar Harbachou: Authorities seem to conduct experiment in Salihorsk
A meeting of entrepreneurs from “October” market is taking place in Salihorsk today. They are protesting against the increase of the rent. An emotional discussion of the problem is being performed in the presence of officials.
One of the leaders of the Belarusian entrepreneurs’ movement Victar Harbachou admits that the authorities may be conducting a special “experiment” in Salihorsk:
"When local authorities increase the rent it means they do it after a consultation, they cannot do it on their won. They have decided to enlarge the budget at the expense of entrepreneurs. If they manage to do it here, they will do it in Barysau and other cities”.
Harbachou reminds that the leader of the state noted that it was necessary to decrease tariff rates by 20%. It was done in some cities (for example, in Babruisk). However, the local authorities have increased the tariff rates in Salihorsk.
