Vasil Parfyankou found in Svetlahorsk activity therapy centre

Human rights activists have reported it referring to the information system of the activity therapy centre.

Human rights activist Nasta Loika told Euroradio:

Loika: “We have discovered his whereabouts. We cannot contact him at the moment. His relatives will try to deliver parcels there and meet him...”

Minsk Pershamaiski District Court decided to send Parfyankou to an activity therapy centre on September 4. The decision was made in his absence. However, the law demands that the convict should be present in court when such decisions are made.

Human rights defenders do not know if Parfyankou received the court’s decision. However, the term of appealing the decision is already over.

By the way, human rights defenders consider the practice of coercive isolation in an activity therapy centres beyond criminal prosecution to be a violation of human rights.
