Tsylinskaya: I support Russians but we have our own flag
Andrei Fomachkin, a member of Belarus delegation, carried a Russian flag into the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games in Rio in a jesture of solidarity with the Russian team banned by the International Paralympic Commitee over widespread doping across Russian sport. Natallia Tsylinskaya, world famous cyclist, has commented on the situation to Euroradio. She said:
"You know, I totally support Russian paralymic athletes. I think it is ultimate meanness to disqualify the [Russian] paralympic team. But we have our own flag... We represent our Motherland. We support them but we represent Belarus not Russia."
