Three fishermen saved on lake in Baroza District

The “101” service received an alarming signal on March 13. Three fishermen were lying on the ice on the Black Lake near the village of Hrysy 100 metres away from the lakeside. Divers arrived seven minuets later and crawled towards the people. They helped the men get to the lakeside with the help of ropes and a ladder.
The saved men were two inhabitants of Drahichyn born in 1974 and 1979 and an inhabitant of the village of Malech born in 1967. According to the fishermen, they tried to get to the lakeside on their own but when the ice started cracking they lay down and started waiting for somebody to notice and save them.

The rescued were delivered to a local hospital and discharged a bit later.
