Supreme Council of Ukraine declines bills on Yulia Tymoshenko's treatment

According to the information provided by UNIAN, the opposition MPs shouted "Shame!" after that. 31 votes lacked in order that ex-PM Yulia Tymoshenko could get a delay in serving punishment and go abroad for treatment. The draft bill suggested by the opposition about the individual amnesty for Yulia Tymoshenko got even less votes - 192 with the necessary minimum being 226 votes.

It was presumed that Ukraine will sign the Association Agreement with the EU in the end of November in Vilnius during the Eastern Partnership Summit. However, the EU leaders demanded that the Ukrainian authorities should solve Yulia Tymoshenko issue first, otherwise signing of the document would be postponed.

The Supreme Council adopted the European law on elections by constitutional majority.
