"Spy" Andrei Haidukou disclaims his accusations (photo)

The young man wrote this in a letter to Vitsebsk activist Tatsyana Sevyarynets. His previous letters failed to pass the censorship, notes nn.by.  



Haidukou writes: "I am accused of making a threat to the national security described as an attempt at the constitutional order of the Republic of Belarus; imposing a political course that contradicted the national interests of the Republic of Belarus. The nature of possible harm can reflect in the destabilization of social economic situation. [I am also accused] of seeking funding for my activities in the U.S. Embassy fund (or the CIA of the USA, according the KGB)."



The young activists also writes that he is accused of calling for targeted sanctions against Belarus.



The closed-door trial of Andrei Haidukou started on June 12. He has already spent over seven months in a KGB prison. He is accused of state treason. Andrei Haidukou is facing up to 15 years of imprisonment.
