South Ossetia prepares documents needed to join Union State
The issue of inclusion of South Ossetia in the Union State of Belarus and Russia is decided. The vice speaker of the South Ossetian Parliament Yurii Dzitsoity has claimed it, reports “Interfax”.
According to him, a meeting of the Union Parliament will take place on October 16 and 17. South Ossetia will be a guest there and will present its appeal for membership in the Union State. Dzitsoity stressed that the Parliament of South Ossetia had already prepared the necessary documents.
At the same time the vice speaker noted that Belarus had promised to recognize the independence of South Ossetia because the republic would not be able to join the Union state if at least one of its members did not recognize it.
