Shushkevich: BSDH does not exclude nonparticipation in local elections
The Belarusian Social-Democratic Hramada headed by Stanislau Shushkevich does not exclude the possibility of nonparticipation in the local elections in April. The thing is that no members of Hrodna Affiliate of the BSDH have been included in the territorial election commission.
Hrodna representatives of Shushkevich’s party have prepared a list of 10 people to be included in the city election commission. If none of them gets to the commission, the BSDH will take such radical measures. The head of the party Stanilau Shushkevich has informed ERB about it:
“If they are not included in commissions, I will insist on nobody taking part in it. We will not forbid it, but I will not encourage anyone to take part in the elections. If they are included – it will be quite another matter”.
Furthermore, the politician says that if nobody is included in Hrodna election commission, he will insist on nonparticipation of all party members in all regions.
