Belarus begins annual mobilization readiness exercises

Annual exercises on mobilization readiness have begun in Belarus, the Ministry of Defense press service reports. They are being held from September 29 to October 2 under the supervision of regional executive committee chairpersons.
The Ministry of Defense described the purpose of the exercises as "improving the coordination of actions by local government employees and organizations during the formation of territorial forces and people's militia units".
Among other things, it is planned to practice the preparation of military-eligible personnel for territorial forces.
In Vitsebsk and Homiel regions, such exercises will take place on October 13–16.
