Tusk: Mikhalevich's detention does not discredit Polish services

Let us remind you, the Belarusian ex-presidential candidate was detained on December 12, when he was about to take a plane from Warsaw to London. The Polish customs officers saw Ales Mikhalevich's name in the Interpol's list of terrorists. He was included there upon Belarus' initiative. Poland's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs arrived to release Ales Mikhalevich.

According to Tusk's words reported by gazeta.pl, Polish services behaved correctly. According to international procedures, explained Tusk, sometimes it happens that a country includes a person who is not a criminal into the Interpol's list. The main task is to check such information as soon as possible.

Tusk noted that it was difficult to expect a customs officer or a policeman to check whether this or that entry in the Interpol's list is correct.
