Radioactive tiles replaced in Independence Square

Euroradio's dosimeter showed 60 micro roentgen per hour in 2007. The normal radioactivity background  for our city is 10-20 micro roentgen per hour. The radioactive tiles have spent more than 5 years in Independence Square.

The tiles are being replaced because of their radioactivity. The workers and a representative of "Gorremavtodor" have told it to Euroradio. At the same time, representatives of the administration of Moscow District claim that they had never heard about the radioactivity before.

Euroradio's dosimeter has shown 16-20 micro roentgen per hour on the new tiles.

Euroradio measures the radioactivity background of the new tiles.

The radioactivity background  of the old tiles is much higher.
