President of European Parliament urges to release all July 3 detainees
Jerzy Buzek has come up with such an appeal at the opening of EP's session on July 4.
This has been informed by BelaPAN with a reference to the European Parliament's press-center. Buzek noted that hundreds of people had been detained. The European Parliament declares its support to these people and urges to release them immediately and unconditionally.
Let us remind you, according to the information provided by human rights defenders, about 400 people were detained at the silent protest action on July 3: no less than 210 people in Minsk and about 180 - in the regions. There is no official information in this regard yet.
