Minsk city court to consider Dashkevich's appeal on June 17

Zmitser Dashkevich claims that the "victims" Kanstantsin Savitski and Aleh Malyshau gave false evidence in court. The political prisoner claims that they unofficially work for the Zavodzki district department of internal affairs of Minsk. In court they informed they were unemployed.

Dashkevich also notes that Malyshau has been previously convicted for drugs dissemination, while he claimed in court he had no prior convictions. The "Young Front" Vice-Chairperson Nasta Palazhanka has said this to Euroradio:

Palazhanka: "This information is present in Dashkevich's cassational appeal. Zmitser writes that these people are unofficial employees, plus, they have prior convictions, plus, they have jobs and use mobile phones - this does not correspond with what they said at the trial. All this is mentioned in his appeal"

Let us remind you, Zmitser Dashkevich and Edward Lobau were arrested before the presidential election-2011. The youngsters were accused of hooliganism and street fighting. Dashkevich was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment, Lobau - to 4.

Minsk city court will start hearing of the appeal on June 17 at 10.00.
