"Dynama" Minsk:They want to present Babruisk incident as a political matter

"Dynama" (Minsk) FC has come up with an official statement with regard to the incident which happened on May 27 in Babrusik, during the Belarusian Championship game between "Dynama" and the local team "Belshina". Let us remind you, "Dynama" players ran to the stand with their fans after they had scored a goal, when suddenly police used special measures. Several fans suffered from gas, "including a 5-year-old kid, who came to watch the game together with his father", the club's official web-site informs.

"Dynama" (Minsk) FC states that use of special measures was not justified - analysis of video-records and witnesses' testimonies prove this. At the same time, the club's administration is incensed with "an attempt of some media to present the incident as a political matter". For example, it is claimed that the fans' chant "We hate the regime!" was only a protest against the law-enforcement agencies' biased attitude to fans. "Football's beyond politics" - "Dynama" Minsk FC underlines.
