CEC registers Volha Kavalkova and Pavel Kazlouski as candidates
Kavalkova competes against Chairman of Zavodzki district organization of "Belaya Rus" in Shabany electoral district in Minsk.
Volha Kavalkova did not indicate a part of her income - a little more than Br 2,5 million - in the tax declaration.
"This
income makes only 6% of my annual income, so it cannot be considered a
significant error. A significant error is when it's bigger than 20%", - the now
candidate noted in her speech.
CEC members did not found how to support the decision of the district commission and voted for its abolition.
According to some information, Kavalkova is a member of the United Civil Party, other sources claim she is a member of the BCD steering committee.
Also, the CEC registered Pavel Kazlouski, the former defense minister, as a candidate today. He did not come to the meeting.
At present there are 369 registered candidates.
On Thursday, the Central Election Commission is considering dozens of complaints from the contenders who were not registered as candidates for the members of the House of Representatives in Minsk. Among others, the CEC will consider the case of Alyaksandr Milinkevich.
