“Belpost” increases tariff for international money transfers by 5 times

"Belpost" tariff for transferring the money in Belarusian roubles via mail abroad has become 35% of the transferred sum since April 20. It used to be 4-8%, depending on the sum, before. Tariff for money transfer in foreign currency remained the same — 8%.

"When you send Belarusian roubles, it will be 35% for sending. When you send foreign currency - 8%", — representatives of the Republican Unitary Enterprise "Belpost" have said to Euroradio.

The point is, they accept money transfers in Belarusian roubles in Belarus, and they hand them out in Russian roubles in Russia, in hryvhias in Ukraine. The number of people wishing to exchange Belarusian roubles into foreign currency with little extractions made by the postal services has considerably increased lately. That is why they are increasing the tariff.
