Belarus – unhappiest country in the world (infographics)

The index of misery was introduced in the 1970s by American economist Arthur Okun.  In his opinion, ordinary citizens’ welfare is mostly struck by inflation and unemployment. The majority of countries are at the end of the list due to high unemployment rates, informs naviny.by. Only Belarus that has been added to the rating for the first time has turned out to be the unhappiest country due to its super high inflation. Norway is the happiest state. Switzerland and Japan (2nd and 3rd places) are a little behind. Lithuania, Latvia and Spain are close to Belarus.
