Belarus gets ready to answer Lithuania’s “nuclear” questions

The Ambassador admitted that the process of assessment of the Belarusian nuclear power plant’s impact on the environment had not been finished and informed that detailed responses to Lithuania’s questions were being prepared.

Drazhyn sent a note claiming that Belarus stuck to all the provisions of the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context.


The Lithuanian Vice-Minister stressed that the information prepared by Belarus had to answer all Lithuanian experts and society’s topical questions. Lithuania will continue demanding to introduce strict international control over the NPP that is planned to be built in Belarus, informs DELFI.
