Akunin organizes "writers' walk" in support of opposition
Writers and musicians will gather in the Boulevard Ring in Moscow on May 13 in the framework of the action "Control Walk".
According to Boris Akunin, the main aim of
the action is to reveal whether Moscow inhabitants can walk freely around their
city or they need some sort of a pass. According to the information provided by
the RBK, writer and journalist Dmitri Bykov, writers Leonid
Zorin and Lyudmila Ulitskaya, musicians Andrei Makarevich, Alexei Kortnev and
others will accompany Boris Akunin.
Hundreds of participants of the protest movement have been arrested during the
last several days in Moscow - they took part in the so-called "people's
party" in the area of the Boulevard Ring.
Let us remind you, Boris Akunin (this is a pseudonym of writer Georgi
Chkhartsishvili) took an active part in the winter actions of the Russian
opposition. He also became a co-founder of the "Voters' League".
