12 Belarusian writers nominated for Jerzy Giedroyc award
The award is to be given to the best book published in the Belarusian language in 2011.
Among them there are Uladzislau Akhromenka, Alherd Bakharevich, Lyavon Volski, Victar Karamazau and others.
The award was established by the Polish Embassy, the Polish Institute in Minsk, the Belarusian PEN-center and the Union of Belarusian Writers. The short-list will be announced in the beginning of February. The laureate will be awarded on the International Writer's day on March 3, Radio Liberty informs.
