Pupils from Yakub Kolas Lyceum organize line near the old lyceum building

Pupils, alumni and teachers of the Yakub Kolas humanitarian lyceum closed by the authorities gathered in Minsk today. They organized a line near the old lyceum building in Kirava Street. Now it belongs to the Central District Court - the authorities took it away from the lyceum in 2003.

The present sang the students’ hymn “Gaudeamus igitur” and left flowers near the building. The police did not interfere in the action. The headmaster of the lyceum Uladzimir Kolas informed ERB about it:

“We did not invite anyone personally or officially. Those who know and support us gathered there. It is good that the lyceum continues functioning and doing its job. It was pleasant to see everyone gather together again”.
