Program of revival of Belarusian agriculture may result in failure

The state program of revival and development of Belarusian agriculture may result in a failure. The announcement was made by the Minister of Economy Mikalai Zaichanka. The programme is meant for the period of 2005-2010. However, the breakdown of 2007 aroused anxiety in the government. The plans on agricultural production growth were not fulfilled then.

The general growth of production totalled only 12.2% during the last three years while the plan for the period was 20.5%. Zaichanka says that none of the regions has managed to stick to the plan, reports “Interfax”.
